RFK Jr. vs. Reality: 1,000 Health Officials Say He’s a Threat to America’s Life Expectancy

The Revolt No One Can Ignore
The walls are closing in on Robert F. Kennedy Jr. In a move without precedent, more than 1,000 current and former employees of the Department of Health and Human Services signed their names to a blistering letter telling their boss to do the only decent thing left: resign.

Their accusation is blunt: RFK Jr. is dismantling science and endangering lives. According to the letter, “Secretary Kennedy continues to endanger the nation’s health.”
This isn’t a whisper campaign. It’s a full-blown staff mutiny, a declaration that the nation’s top health official has become its biggest public health threat.
CDC in Flames
The flashpoint? Kennedy’s purge of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
- He fired Dr. Susan Monarez, the newly confirmed CDC Director, after she refused to rubber-stamp his anti-vaccine crusade.
- He axed 17 members of the CDC’s immunization committee and replaced them with conspiracy-friendly cronies.
- He drove out Dr. Demetre Daskalakis, one of the country’s top infectious disease experts, who wrote in his resignation letter that Kennedy’s regime is pushing “manipulated data, suppression of science, and politicized changes” that will cost lives.
This is not reform – it’s arson.
The Letter That Screams
The open letter from employees reads less like a bureaucratic protest and more like an emergency siren:
“We believe health policy should be based in strong, evidence-based principles rather than partisan politics. But under Secretary Kennedy’s leadership, HHS policies are placing the health of all Americans at risk.”
And in case Kennedy missed the point, they added:
“Should he decline to resign, we call upon the President and U.S. Congress to appoint a new Secretary of Health and Human Services.”
Translation: Get out – or we’ll drag you out.
Former Heavyweights Drop the Hammer
Kennedy’s not just facing revolt from inside. Nine former CDC directors, Republicans and Democrats alike, have come out swinging. Their warning? Kennedy has “gravely weakened” the CDC and is steering America toward disaster.
Senator Bernie Sanders went further, calling Kennedy’s policies “dangerous” and demanding his resignation. This is no longer a fringe chorus; it’s a cross-partisan emergency alert.
The Purge Continues
This rebellion didn’t come out of nowhere. Back in March, Kennedy gutted HHS, laying off 20,000 employees, a decapitation strike against the very people charged with keeping Americans alive. Staffers lost jobs overnight, ID badges deactivated before they could clear out their desks.
Now, after months of purges, power plays, and anti-vaccine propaganda, Kennedy is standing almost alone atop a hollowed-out agency.
The emperor has no clothes, but he’s still got the keys to your health.
The Stakes Couldn’t Be Higher
This isn’t palace intrigue. It’s survival. The people who know the system best—scientists, doctors, public health lifers- are screaming from the rooftops: RFK Jr. is a clear and present danger.
The question is whether America listens before it’s too late.
Citizen Ben Takeaway
This isn’t about politics. It’s about whether you’ll trust the nation’s health to a man who fires experts, silences science, and replaces it with snake oil.
When 1,000 insiders risk retaliation to demand their boss resign, you should believe them. Because they’re not just protecting their jobs, they’re trying to protect you.
Call your representatives—demand hearings, accountability, and immediate action to protect evidence-based health policy. Common Cause is a great tool to use. (https://www.commoncause.org/find-your-representative)
Write letters to your senators and members of Congress—make it clear that RFK Jr.’s dangerous experiments with public health will not stand.
Share this story—don’t let the mutiny be buried under the next news cycle. Post it, talk about it, make it impossible to ignore.
Support independent journalism—outlets like Citizen Ben are the counterweight to a propaganda machine intent on spinning this as “reform.”
Because when insiders risk their careers to warn the public, we ignore them at our peril.
