The Presidential Drinking Game
Every Time Trump says Joe Biden…
By Ben Cable (Originally Published on Substack)
In the first 100 days, since President Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2025, he has mentioned former President Joe Biden, his family, or his administration at least 580 times in public remarks and social media posts. This averages to over six mentions per day. Notably, during his 100-minute address to a joint session of Congress on March 4, 2025, Trump referenced Biden at least 16 times. From these observations The Presidential Drinking Game was born.

Trump’s frequent mentions of Biden serve to criticize or blame his predecessor for various issues. For instance, he attributed the first-quarter economic downturn to Biden’s policies, despite data indicating economic growth at the end of Biden’s term. Additionally, Trump has used public events, such as the White House Easter Egg Roll, to mock Biden, referencing past incidents involving the former president.
At his Wisconsin Rally, Trump mentioned Biden within the first 2½ minutes and referred to him or his administration over 60 times throughout his remarks. That is allot of drinking.
The Presidential Drinking Game – Rules
Okay, here is the plan for your drinking game called “The Presidential Drinking Game,” along with important warnings and resources.
Objective: To take a drink whenever President Joe Biden’s name is mentioned by President Donald Trump in a speech, interview, or randomly to media. If you are Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth you can make up your own rules and drink all the time, which would explain allot (for example Signalgate).
How to Play:
- Gather: Get your group together.
- Choose Beverage: Decide what everyone will be drinking. Make sure there are non-alcoholic options available for those who prefer not to drink alcohol or want to pace themselves.
- Set the Rules: Decide on the amount to drink each time Biden is mentioned by Trump (e.g., a sip, a specific small measure). Using full shots is strongly discouraged due to the high frequency with which Biden’s name will be mentioned by Trump, which can lead to dangerous levels of alcohol consumption very quickly.
- Play: Sit back and watch and listen.
- Listen: Pay attention!
- Drink: Every time Trump says “Joe Biden” or any insult insinuating Joe Biden (like “Sleepy Joe”) everyone takes a drink.

Examples
In his State of the Union Address, March 5, 2025, President Trump referenced Joe Biden 13 times, criticizing his leadership on issues such as immigration, foreign aid, and inflation. Thirteen drinks.
- Duration: Play for a set amount of time, until Trump eventually runs out of insults, or until the group decides to stop. I personally thought it was time to stop months ago, and I do not even drink alcohol.Share
Warnings and Responsible Gaming:
- Danger of Rapid Consumption: Knowing Trump’s preoccupation with Biden, this game will involve frequent drinking. Consuming alcohol quickly significantly increases the risk of alcohol poisoning, which is a serious and potentially fatal medical emergency.
- Know Your Limits: Be aware of how much alcohol you are consuming. Pace yourself and don’t feel pressured to keep up with others. It’s okay to switch to non-alcoholic drinks or stop playing or change the channel. If you need to puke and unable to, watch Fox Entertainment News for a couple minutes and you will.
- Never Pressure Others: Respect everyone’s decision on whether and how much they drink. Peer pressure is not part of a fun or safe game. Encourage soft drinks in lieu of alcohol.
- Non-Alcoholic Options: Always ensure water or other non-alcoholic beverages are readily available.
- Safe Environment: Ensure you are in a safe place. Since you don’t drive, ensure anyone else participating who does drive has arranged safe transportation (like a designated driver or rideshare) if they are consuming alcohol.

The pattern of frequent references to the former President underscores Trump’s strategy of keeping Biden central in political discourse, often as a foil to highlight his own administration’s actions and policies. Trump just can’t help himself or stop himself or edit himself…
